SOIL PENETROMETER (ELS-110)
▪ Used to determine the relationshipbetween the moisture content and
penetration resistance of fine-grained soils.
▪ Consists of a special spring dynamometerwith pressure indicating scale
on the stem of the handle.
▪ The maximum pressure obtained by the test is indicated by the sliding
ring on the steam.
